i find it amusing that the media of today gives young girls so much shit about dressing too provocatively or performing on stage while holding onto a pole... in the 80's not only was it cool to look like a slut- but it was encouraged. people put it all on madonna- but it was everywhere... how many hours did i spend trying my best to recreate tawny kitaen's dance routines (sans car hoods)??? what was refreshing about this time was that people were so unapologetic about it. there were none of these tabloids with accidental crotch flashing... if people wanted to show their shit- they did... case in point- sa-sa-sa-samantha fox. samantha fox had been showing her large breasts since the age of 16- can you imagine miley cirus posing for playboy?!? it would get more media coverage than haiti...
