it feels good...
when i moved across the country i had to be super selective about what junk i was bringing with me. this was a huge task and in the end i opted for none. (accessories dont count)... that being said- all of my pictures that could better depict this topic are somewhere in an attic or basement in nj. so you get this... post junior prom circa '95 in limo en route to the Limelight (only to have Astro in 3 ft platforms to tell us to try the Tunnel)... but at least you can see i have on my used levis & my plastic lambchop mini backpack that all my friends had tagged...
fast forward to now-a good 15 years later. i am now 31 (and a half) and although every once in a while i enjoy getting decked out and wearing heels- it still feels so damn good to dress like im in high school. this morning i threw on a pair of bell bottom jeans, flip flops & my favorite zip up and it was like heaven. walking around with my coffee i had to stop and wonder- will i ever stop dressing like im 16???

yes, that's a scrunchy, and yes, those nails are fake
ReplyDeletei don't think dressing like you are 16 should ever stop! sometimes i leave the apartment and think to myself, "am i REALLY wearing a sweatshirt that is ripped to shreds with some camper's name tag sewn into it? REALLY?" but deep down, i love dressing this way...and wish i could ALL the time, lol, only thing is that you do it with much more style and could throw on some great bangle bracelets and heels with some ripped campers sweatshirt and the whole thing then becomes a fabulous couture number...
